  • MARDI GRAS CELEBRATION ON FAT TUESDAY

Clean out those pantries and cupboards, people, and get those cookbooks down from the shelf—FAT TUESDAY is coming February 9! Lasagna and Decadent Desserts are on the menu again this year, back by popular demand. Counting carbs will have to wait until Lent, because we want your best pasta dishes and your most luscious desserts for this dinner.

  • ASH WEDNESDAY AND LENT

At our Ash Wednesday service, February 10 at 7 p.m., we will begin our 40-day Lenten journey together. Since the seventh century, the Western church has observed the start of Lent on Ash Wednesday—the fortieth day before Easter, excluding Sundays, which are considered mini-Easters. (Some Christians break their fasts on these Sundays.) Our word Lent comes from the Middle English word “lente”, meaning “spring”.

  • SEW FOR HOPE

The sewing group called “Sewing for Hope” meets the third Monday, of each month from 6-8 p.m. Join us on February 15, March 21 and April 18.  We sew simple dresses for the children supported by the Tumaini Fund.

  • AMONGST ALL THE SAINTS

Our monthly study of the saints continues: On Sunday, March 13,I shall be considering Oscar Romero and John Keble. These two saints are as different as one could imagine two men to be, an Oxford Don and Poet and country Victorian priest and Salvadoran poor man, whose carpenter father was willing for him to study to be a priest and ended up being murdered by the death squads of the Salvadoran government, with funding by the American government. The saints for April shall be Christina Rosetti and ...

  • A LETTER FROM PASTOR CORINNE

Dear Friends and Family of St. Anne’s, Each Lent, people all over the world make promises to change themselves for 40 days (not including Sundays) before Easter. People give up chocolate, TV, Facebook, you name it.

  • STATIONS OF THE CROSS

Stations of the Cross will be offered Fridays during Lent at 5:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. The devotion known as the Way of the Cross is an adaptation of a custom widely observed by pilgrims to Jerusalem: the offering of prayer at a series of places in the city traditionally associated with our Lord’s Passion and death.

  • ECW MOVIE NIGHT "The Hundred Foot Journey"

All St. Anne's Women Invited!  Host: Miechi Petro  401 E. Wildwood Dr., Warsaw  Southbrook Park Sunday, March 13 at 4:30 p.m.  Refreshments will be served.  Please contact Miechi or the church office if you need a ride.

  • PALM SUNDAY, MARCH 20

Join us for the Palm Procession into our church, followed by our regular Sunday liturgy. We will meet under the portico, weather permitting. At 10:15, the children will lead us as we wave our palms and make noise, just like people did in Jesus’ day when he entered Jerusalem.

  • MAUNDY THURSDAY MARCH 24

“Maundy” derives from mandatum novum, Latin for “new commandment.” On this night Jesus washed the feet of his disciples and instituted the sacrament of Holy Communion at the Last Supper. Our 7 p.m. service will include foot washing and the Holy Eucharist.

  • GOOD FRIDAY CONFESSIONS

On Good Friday, private confessions will be heard from 3-5 p.m. in the chapel. Why confess privately?

  • GOOD FRIDAY, MARCH 25

The Day of the Crucifixion. In observance of this most sacred day, we ask that all who enter and exit the church do so in silence. The church will be open for prayer and quiet reflection from noon to 7 p.m.

  • EASTER SUNDAY MARCH 27

Jesus Christ is risen today! Easter is the day for bright col-ors, lilies, eggs and butterflies…all things that celebrate new life. There will be two services: 7 a.m.

  • EASTER BOOK STUDY

Easter is not just one day, but an entire season of 50 days, ending with Pentecost. To celebrate, we will read and discuss “Crazy Christians: A Call to Follow Jesus,” written by our very own Presiding Bishop Michael B. Curry.

  • PRAYER WARRIORS

“Prayer Warriors” has been developed in response to parishioners wanting to be more involved praying for people and their needs. Lime green prayer cards have been placed in the pews and on the gift counter in Rose Hall. All are encouraged to fill them out for any type of prayer request.
