Items needed are: diapers-sizes 3, 4, 5 &6, baby wipes, fruit snacks or finger foods, Ziploc bags (quart and gallon size), coffee, coffee filters for Bunn coffee maker, cream and sugar packets, milk, Kleenex, travel shampoo and conditioner, soap, deodorant, toothbrushes & toothpaste and feminine supplies.

  • KNITTING CIRCLE

Sarah Richardson will host the knitting group at her home on the following date:  March 2, April 6 & May 4 They meet at 6:30 p.m. If you would like to join the knitters please see Sarah for more details.

  • PALM SUNDAY

Palm Sunday, March 29 Join us for the Palm Procession into our church, followed by our regular Sunday liturgy. We will meet under the portico, weather permitting. At 10:15, the children will lead us as we wave our palms and make noise, just like people did in Jesus’ day when he entered Jerusalem.

  • MAUNDY THURSDAY

April 2 The name “Maundy” derives from mandatum novum, Latin for “new commandment.” On this night Jesus washed the feet of his disciples and instituted the sacrament of Holy Communion at the Last Supper. Our 7 p.m. service will include foot washing and the Holy Eucharist.

  • GOOD FRIDAY

April 3 The Day of the Crucifixion. In observance of this most sacred day, we ask that all who enter and exit the church do so in silence. The church will be open for prayer and quiet reflection from noon to 7 p.m.

  • EASTER SUNDAY

April 5 Jesus Christ is risen today! Today is the day for bright colors, Easter lilies, eggs and butterflies…all things that celebrate new life. There will be two services: 7 a.m.

  • SEW FOR HOPE

The sewing group called “Sewing for Hope” meets the third Monday of each month from 6-8pm. We sew simple dresses for the children supported by the Tumaini Fund. These new and colorful dresses bring enormous joy to the orphan girls of Northwest Tanzania.

  • WINTER ON WAWASEE, A RETREAT FOR WOMEN

ECW will host the annual Woman's Retreat on February 27 & 28.  Join us as we use scripture to illuminate grace, strength and trust in the complex issues women face in their lives.  Sign up soon in Rose Hall. We will have a special "Dresses for Hope" session on Friday evening.  Sewing machines, sergers, pins, power strips, irons and fabric (four yards) are all encouraged.  Even if you don't know how to sew you will have a good time!

  • PLANNED GIVING WORKSHOPS CONTINUE THIS SPRING

The Planned Giving Workshops that we held this fall, as part of our Stewardship Programming, were very well received. We are looking forward to two more great opportunities for our friends and family members to learn more about the different ways that we can save for retirement, leave money to our kids and grandkids AND leave a gift to the church! Planned Gifts can help us do more than we ever thought was possible.

  • REFLECTIONS BIBLE STUDY

Meets Wednesday's at noon in the parlor.

  • PRAYERS OF HEALING

The second Sunday of each month, we offer healing or the anointing of the sick after each service. This sacramental rite is for anyone in need of healing of mind, body or spirit.
